What Divisio Capital Does
Divisio Capital aggregates your manually-entered portfolio positions with live and delayed market data to provide a unified dashboard for tracking performance, sector allocation, dividends, earnings dates, and estimated capital gains tax liability.
The platform is designed for individual investors who want institutional-quality analytics without paying for a Bloomberg terminal — not for professional fund management or regulated financial services.
Data Sources
- Market prices & fundamentals: Yahoo Finance via the open-source
yfinancelibrary. Data is fetched in real time during market hours and cached for up to 60 seconds. Prices may be delayed up to 15 minutes and are not suitable for high-frequency trading decisions. - Analyst ratings: Aggregated consensus data from Yahoo Finance. Coverage is not universal — not all tickers have ratings.
- Earnings dates: Yahoo Finance calendar data. Dates are indicative and subject to change.
- Sector classification: GICS sector from Yahoo Finance
infopayload.
30-Day Forecast Methodology
The AI forecast is a quantitative probabilistic model — not a neural network or generative AI. It combines 15 technical and statistical signals including:
- Historical log-return distribution fitting (Student-t to capture fat tails)
- 2,000 Monte Carlo simulation paths over a 30-day horizon
- Hurst exponent (R/S analysis) for trend persistence detection
- Market regime classification using SPY relative strength
- Momentum, volatility, RSI, and moving-average signals
The output is a probability of gain and a median projected return — not a price target or a recommendation to buy or sell. Model accuracy is not guaranteed. Past statistical patterns do not guarantee future performance.
Degrees-of-freedom parameter (df) for the Student-t distribution is estimated via maximum likelihood on the last 252 trading days. Lower df = fatter tails = higher uncertainty.
Capital Gains Calculator
The calculator uses official published tax bracket tables for each supported country. It is a planning tool only. Results do not account for loss harvesting offsets, carried-forward losses, alternative minimum tax, state-specific nuances beyond what is stated, or changes to tax law after the last update date. Consult a qualified tax adviser before making any tax-related decisions.
Limitations
- Portfolio values are based on manually-entered cost basis — Divisio does not connect to brokerage accounts.
- Dividend income shown is annualised based on the trailing twelve-month yield declared by Yahoo Finance — actual payments may differ.
- The platform does not hold, manage, or execute trades on your behalf.
- No market data is guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or timely.

Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
Divisio Capital is an independent portfolio analytics platform operated at www.divisiocapital.com. References to "we", "our", or "Divisio" in this policy mean the platform operator. For questions, contact support@divisiocapital.com.
2. Data We Collect
Account data: When you register, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes — we cannot read your plain-text password.
Portfolio data: The ticker symbols, share quantities, cost basis, and purchase dates you enter into the platform are stored in our database, linked to your account.
Session data: A session token is stored in an HTTP-only cookie in your browser to keep you signed in. Tokens expire after 30 days or on sign-out.
Usage data: We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or third-party scripts that collect behavioural data. No cookies are set other than the session cookie described above.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and maintain your session.
- To store and display your portfolio positions, performance metrics, and analytics.
- To fetch real-time market data from Yahoo Finance for your holdings.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not use your data to train machine learning models, build advertising profiles, or sell to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
Yahoo Finance (yfinance): We send your portfolio ticker symbols to Yahoo Finance's public API to retrieve prices, fundamentals, and other market data. We share only ticker symbols, not your identity or account details. Yahoo Finance's own privacy policy governs their data handling.
Google Fonts: The interface uses fonts loaded from Google Fonts CDN. Your browser may make DNS requests to Google's servers when loading the app. No personal data beyond standard browser headers is transmitted.
Chart.js: The charting library is bundled with and served directly from this application.
5. Data Storage & Security
Portfolio and account data are stored in an SQLite database on our application server. We apply bcrypt password hashing, HTTP-only session cookies, and HTTPS-only transport. Security hardening headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options, etc.) are applied to all responses.
No system is perfectly secure. We recommend using a unique password for your Divisio account.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your account, credentials, and portfolio data within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
- Access: You can view all data you have entered through the app interface.
- Correction: You can edit or delete any portfolio entry at any time.
- Deletion: Email support@divisiocapital.com to request full account and data deletion.
- Portability: Contact us to request a copy of your stored portfolio data.
8. Children's Privacy
This platform is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us for immediate removal.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform. Maintenance, upgrades, third-party API outages, and market data disruptions may affect availability. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruption.
10. Subscription & Payments
Pro accounts are subject to the pricing and billing terms displayed at sign-up. Subscriptions are managed through Stripe. We do not store payment card details. Refund requests should be directed to support@divisiocapital.com within 7 days of charge.
11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after the revision date constitutes acceptance.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@divisiocapital.com.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
